For RHEL/Fedora type distributions the corresponding packages are openvpn, NetworkManager-openvpn, NetworkManager-openvpn-gnome.

for Mac OS X:
Install the Tunnelblick software https://tunnelblick.net/downloads.html
Create a directory with the name “Tunnelblick VPN Configuration.tblk”.
Create a vpn-students.conf file and copy in it the appropriate configuration records (select all, copy and paste) from our “vpn-students.conf” file: you find at the bottom of the page.
Double-click on the directory, using Finder, to install the configuration.

for Windows 10:
Download the vpn-students.ovpn configuration file below (do not change the extension).
Download the OpenVPN package from https://openvpn.net/client-connect-vpn-for-windows/ and install it.
Create an “Openvpn Administrators” group and add to it the user of the PC that will use the VPN: follow the separate instructions for Windows 10 PRO / ENT and for Windows 10 HOME given on the page dedicated to the VPN for UNIMI and INFN Staff (but using the configuration file dedicated to the STUDENTS VPN and downloadable from this page).
